Prague Semmering. Contribution to the history of the Prague railway network
The part of the Buštěhrad railway is the Prague-Hostivice line from 1870-1872, so called Prague Semmering. It forms a remarkable architectural landscape complex and includes famous historic viaducts across the Hlubočepy valley, and a number of further industrial and railway buildings, partly preserved in high stage of authenticity. The article evaluates architectural, historic and technical qualities of this complex as well as its parts, which served as a source data for the proposal of this complex in the stated section as a cultural monument. Despite that the original buildings of the Buštěhrad railway in the area of the Smíchov station are currently destined for demolition.
