AB This study refers to the 13th/ 14th century archival evidence of three men named Nicolas of the Tower. The use of heraldic signs indicates members of three burgher families - Prague Velflovic line (crossbar), Tisnov family named after the Tower (Vezky) by Tisnov (a crenelated tower) and the reeve of Brno district named after the Tower, who used a rafter on a split shield as his seal. By no means the last one cannot be identified with the Prague Nicolas of the Tower as appeared in recent published references following the study of Milena Flodrova.
