Three seasons of archaeological research were evoked by the transformation of the site appearance and the construction of a multifunctional centre planned for the near future. Site stratigraphy, together with written evidence, document settlement activities from the 12ve century to the present day. The remains of the earliest features from the pre-location hamlet of St. Martin's Ujezd were overlaid after their decline by a burial area of the Jewish garden, of which the northern periphery was documented with two graves. A block of adjacent houses developing since the 14th century was demolished in the 1970s in the consequence of the metro stations construction. The article presents archaeological data gained by the excavation and opens questions of historic reconstruction of the local settlement. ER
