Allegory of virtues and iniquities on Prague Astronomical Clock
Die Barockskulpturen an der Prager astronomischen Uhr

Baroque wooden statues on the Prague Old Town Astronomical Clock had their own original thematic content completely different from today. The alteration to the meaning of four statues by their modification and addition of stage properties into their hands was done by Vojtěch Sucharda successively in years 1911 and 1966 when he was accredited by their restoration. Meaningful thematic aim of the whole assemblage of statues, which used to be its important part corresponding with the complete original spiritual content of the clock, thus got lost.
