The National Heritage Institute, Prague Regional Office (NPÚ, ÚOP) in Prague has its own modest editorial program which focuses on a variety of Prague’s historical heritage sites of an architectural or archaeological nature or on important personalities associated with Prague. The publication entitled “APDP – Archeologické prameny k dějinám Prahy (ISSN 1803-232X)” (Archaeological Sources for the History of Prague) serves to broaden the archaeological source base for those who wish to continue exploring the development of Prague. Experts from other departments mostly publish their works with external publishers who are able to provide the administration and financial coverage of the published books (e.g. Prague Villas, etc.).
