Welcome to the pages of the journal Prague through the centuries – a reviewed journal for the national cultural heritage, heritage care, archaeology and art history of Prague.

The journal is published twice a year in Czech with summaries in foreign languages. It was renewed in 2009 as a continuation of the 1-24 volumes of an almanac with the same name, published at various times since 1965 to 2003.

The journal is published by The National Heritage Institute, specialised regional branch in the Capital of Prague, with the address Prague 1 – Staré Město, Na Perštýně 12/356.

The journal publishes original professional texts concerning the history of Prague from the view of various historic disciplines dealing with movable and immovable Prague monuments. On a format of A4 the graphical aspect is emphasized of publishing the rich reference fund in form of photographs, drawings and generally original plan documentation. A presentation of the graphics and character of the articles can be found in the windows [detail CZE]. If the article has been selected to be published on the web, its complete version, including the illustrations, is in the window [pdf CZE]. Each article contains English annotation and key words (info EN) at its beginning, and English or German summary in its conclusion.
